Allowed: Links to your own website!

Contrary to almost all other auction sites we do allow links in sellers item description to their own website. We would like to tear down the walls separating auction and web sites.

We believe in the benefits of a combined marketing approach.

That allows you to link to documentation and manuals or items not currently offered by you on techbid.

We expect a reciprocal link to techbid! That doesn't need to be to the home page, could be the same or similar item or a store category, whatever you considers best from your viewpoint.

Occasionally we will look at the link-back situation and will send reminders to sellers with no return link.

Item prices on techbid should be the same or possibly lower then on your website since our cost structure does beat hosting and related cost for your own site. And we expect fair use resulting in benefits for both sides!

Penalties for sellers that are drawing traffic from techbid to their site by using lower pricing or other unfair ways do include temporary or permanent suspension of the account. We will refine this policy as we gain more experience!

Not Allowed: Links to other auction sides!

Currently other auction sites won't allow links in their item descriptions, consequently you can't link to your items over there from here. But we would consider a reciprocal agreement with selected sites.
