This IP-based KVM Link Extender (KLE) for remote management is low weight and compact but with lots of functional versatility, rock-solid robustness, and full featured security. It supports full 1024-bit PKI authentication, 128-bit SSL data encryption, LDAP, as well as Active Directory authentication and RADIUS.

The widespread availability of DSL/Cable technology with significant bandwidth did help IP-based KVM technology to emerge as a dominant player for remote server management. Today the IP-based KVM Extender is regarded as a better and more cost-effective solution for remote server management, compared to expensive software solutions or Enterprise Management Systems. This device is robust and versatile in addressing the needs of modern remote server management.
Total server control from BIOS level up, anytime and anywhere
You are in total control of the remote system from preboot stage at the BIOS-level (CMOS setting) to GUI applications and daily maintenance routines such as power cycling (separate power control unit required). All these remote management tasks can be nicely done on your admin desk using an ordinary web-browser management interface and a thin-client software viewer. For example, you can access your remote computer from a client machine by logging in the LKV-IPM01 and download the viewer program and get yourself connected to a whole group of servers in seconds. A truly anytime anywhere access for the server administrator!
Backup connection features a PPP Server or PPP Client
To provide redundancy in critical situations this extender allows an easy and convenient PPP connection over phone line via dial-up modem (separate external modem required). Device can serve as PPP server to accept a peer computer for a PPP connection request over either a direct cable connection or a dial-up modem over phone line. Or this IP-extender can serve as PPP client to dial-in to your ISP or enterprise PPP server for connection to your internal network. These PPP server/client options allow users to access your remote servers while your network is down.
